Reaching your weight loss goals is hard enough without sabotaging yourself!

Losing weight is hard, there’s no doubt about it. Even with a good nutrition program, like the ones we offer here on my site, you still have to put in the time and effort in order to reach your goals. However, you may be sabotaging your weight loss efforts without even realizing it, and this can make it even more challenging! Luckily, our experts have come up with this list of the top ways that you may be sabotaging yourself, so that you can avoid them:

#1. You push yourself too hard too early. 

Exercise is an important part of weight loss, and while it’s always a good idea to push yourself when you work out, you should be careful not to overdo it. If you do too much too soon, you won’t be able to sustain it, and you are likely to give up a lot sooner.

#2.  You aren’t eating enough. 

Much like exercise, people are motivated and excited at the beginning of a diet, which leads many to cut more calories than they should. If you cut too many calories, it can actually send your body into starvation mode, which will slow your metabolism way down. Additionally, cutting too many calories will make you more likely to splurge when you can no longer control your cravings.

#3. You don’t diet the healthy way. 

Your body needs all three macronutrients (carbs, fat and protein) every single day. Many fad diets eliminate one of these macronutrients in order to help you lose weight. The problem with this is that you need those nutrients, and when you switch back to a normal diet, you are likely to gain all of the weight back that you lost.
